Totally the final «Small power supply – included 25 projects. Power Centre, commissioned by ROLT power systems for ceramic production in Balabanovo Kaluga region, together with other projects of small distribution energy was selected by the Advisory Council at first stage. The names of winners in three categories will be announced on December, 10 at the IV International Energy Forum in Chelyabinsk.

We would like to remind, that this year's National Award, established by the Association of Minor Ural Energy supported by the Russian Ministry of Energy, will be given in three categories:

• The best project in the field of small power with capacity of up to 6 MW.
• The best project in the field of small power with capacity of 6 MW.
• The best project in the field of alternative energy.

In total the competition organizing committee received 74 applications. Geography of participants: Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Vladivostok, Tomsk, Saratov, Sochi, Krasnodarsky region, Chelyabinsk, Belgorod, Samara, Rybinsk, Novosibirsk etc. An order came from the near-abroad - Minsk, Republic of Belarus. According to the results of a preliminary selection 25 projects got to the finals.

This week the jury starts a detailed study of the finalist projects. It was composed of leading experts in the field of small distributed energy market, leaders and representatives of influential industry organizations of the Russian Federation. Expert Council of the National Award "Small power - great achievements" is headed by the chairman of the subcommittee for small energy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Esyakov. In identifying the winning project in each category the members of the Expert Council will take into account:

• project technological novelty,
• economical effect,
• influence on branch development,
• improving the quality of life of the citizens of the Russian Federation,
• architectural and engineering design aesthetics.

The names of the winners will be announced on December 10 in Chelyabinsk at the IV International Energy Forum "Russian-Chinese business dialogue: Power supply partnership between two countries.

The winners in the three categories will receive a certificate and a statuette of an exclusive "Golden Lightning" made by Zlatoust masters.

Despite the fact that the struggle for "Golden Lightning" is expected to be tense, the Organizing Committee of the Prize states that: to be a finalist is a great achievement. "In no case it can be said that the project, which will be called the best is the undisputed champion of the industry. We value merits of each contestant company. Now it is necessary to form the elite of engineering industry, and it is possible only through communication. It's time to move on to a healthy competition and cooperation, to let the small-scale power market develop "- said Maxim Zagorny the president of the Association of Minor Ural Energy.
