The exhibition “Greenhousing of Russia” is a very significant event for the agricultural industry. It was organized by the Association "Greenhouses of Russia" with the help of Ministry of Agriculture, State Duma, Federal Council of the Russian Federation and Agro-Industrial Union of Russia. This year the exhibition attracted more than 100 experts from Russia, the Netherlands, China, Turkey, Greece, Poland, Finland and other countries. In one place the participants could see the newest equipment and energy saving technologies and chose the most competitive project of greenhouses power supply. 

ROLT group specialists told agricultural businessmen the latest news of distributed energy market for greenhouses and answered different technical and organizational questions. Among the representatives of ROLT power systems there were Andrew Chikeev, Commercial Director, Oleg Danilov, Head of Marketing Department, Roman Izmaylov, Head of Sales Department and top-managers of the ROLT group divisions: ROLT energy service, ROLT boiler systems, etc. So all clients could get detailed information about the company and its projects. 

The stand of the company was very popular not only among the top-managers of agricultural companies but also among government officials and scientists. In particular, Peter Chekmarev, the Director of Crops Growing Department, Chemical and Crop Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia visited the exhibition and appreciated the solutions offered by ROLT group.

Nowadays the investments in greenhousing have increased. The government pays a lot of attention to the development of greenhousing companies which according to the experts can supply products in any season at acceptable prices. “The government of Russia set the task to substitute import vegetables. For this purpose by 2020 we must construct more than 1500 greenhouses which will allow us to get about 800 000 t of vegetables”, – announced the Ministry of Agriculture at the official opening of the exhibition. 

It is practically impossible to gain high results without the newest technologies and equipment as they not only increase the amount and quality of harvest but also the consumed power. For example, it is required more than 100 W of supplementary lighting for 1 square meter of greenhouses. In many farms the 50-60% of the self-cost of a product makes the cost of energy recourses. “The energy part” of the cost can be reduced due to on-site generation. Mini-CHP allows not only to reduce or eliminate payments to energy and heat suppliers but also to increase productivity by use of CO2 that can be found in exhaust gases. 

“This exhibition is an excellent chance to show the opportunities of on-site generation for greenhouses”, – said Andrew Chikeev, the Commercial Director of ROLT power systems. According to his words gas reciprocating power plants allow for greenhouses to reduce costs of electricity and heat. Fuel efficiency can be 95-98%. On-site generation is useful not only for large farms but also for rather small greenhouses. “At the exhibition we spoke with greenhousing companies which wanted to expand or modernize its production and also with startups. We are the leading company in the sphere of manufacture or packaging of block-module mini-CHPs which perfectly correspond to the demand of greenhouses”. Indeed, ROLT PS power plants with heat recovery system are a serial ready-to-use product which can be easily integrated into electric and heat systems of a greenhouse and has high level of automation.
