Despite of the economic crisis which influenced greatly to the distributed energy market the business-platform was very successful. In this difficult situation companies try to optimize their resources and look for new ways to reduce expenditures. On-site generation of power and heat can be a solution in this situation. 

ROLT group being one of the market leaders who offers complex solutions of on-site generation in Ural Federal District showed its innovations for distributed energy market adapted to the needs of different customers. The company was represented by Andrew Chikeev, Commercial Director, Oleg Danilov, Head of Marketing Department, Nikita Lysenko, Director of ROLT Rep-Office in Yekaterinburg and Flaris Mullagaliev, Director of ROLT Rep-Office in Chelyabinsk. 

The program of the platform was very tense. At business sessions the leading experts were exchanging opinions about key issues of on-site generation development in Ural companies. ROLT presented its projects that were successfully commissioned or are under commissioning now in Ural. 

Among such projects can be mentioned manufacture and delivery of power equipment for the factory “Ural Foil” (a member of RUSAL Group), commissioning of mini-CHP for “Rifar”, radiators producing factory, Buruktalsk Nickel Factory, “UGC” gold mining state company and others. Besides, ROLT specialists do commissioning and servicing of 34 gensets of total capacity 130 MW for JSC “Russian Cupper Company”. 

“For many companies in Urals the main reason to buy mini-CHP is higher productivity. Gas reciprocating plants help to avoid electricity deficit obtained from the grid and reduces energy costs”, - said Andrew Chikeev, Commercial Director of ROLT power systems. Under his words in every project the company pays a lot of attention to the choice of the equipment and technical solutions that can help the customers to get as much benefits as possible and it is important for such energy intensive sectors as oil, chemical and manufacturing industries. 

The participants of the Platform discussed such questions like improvement of legislation, technical issues of on-site generation, analyzed the best examples of nuclear power centers, how to increase capacities, etc. At the first day at the plenary meeting speakers discussed future of distributed energy market in Russia and in Sverdlovsk region. According to Alexey Sokolov, the top-manager of Ministry of Energy and House Utilities of Sverdlovsk Region, nowadays in Russia there is a problem of high wear of energy centers built in the last century and located in distant places. Power grids are decaying and destroying and it is very expensive to improve power supply of hard-to-reach locations where few people live. The construction costs of power grids in these places can be more than 500 million rubles. In these situations it is better to use on-site generation. Alexey Sokolov named its main advantage: short terms of construction and acceptable costs. “For places without power grids on-site generation is the best solution”, - emphasized Mr. Sokolov. 

At the end of Business Platform its participants visited four factories and learnt on-site generation in real conditions. The visitors could see the factories of different industries: power centers at “UETM” machinery production factory, “Magnet” logistic center, “UMMC” copper smelting plant and mini-CHP of local generating company.
